After Lonnie Chisenhall clubbed a go-ahead, two-run double off of All-Star closer Greg Holland in the top of the tenth inning last night, he drove the bus.

Though the Indians and Royals did not get to finish the contest — it will be resumed in Cleveland on September 22 with the Indians leading 4-2 in the bottom of the tenth — Chisenhall’s double was as big a hit as the Indians have had all year. It was a pinch-hit double that came on a 0-2 slider after Lonnie had taken two nasty sliders on the black. He guessed that one more slide-piece was on the way, reached out and hit it into the wind stream, and damn near over the fence.

Lonnie DoubleWhen Lonnie drives in runs, Lonnie gets to drive the bus.

September baseball is upon us.
